Marianne Restaurant, Notting Hill
September 2013
Project Details
Dentons recently completed one of their most audacious projects yet in Marianne Restaurant. Serving just 14 Covers, we were given an area of around 3.5 metres square in which to design, supply and install a commercial kitchen to this cosy, intimate restaurant in Notting Hill. Working closely with Owner/Chef Marianne Lumb we were able to chisel out a restaurant kitchen which met all of our client's expectations and more.
From its earliest stages, Dentons were heavily involved in the kitchen design, producing detailed conceptual drawings to help our client realise her vision. Equipment choice was key to the number of different signature dishes on the menu.
With space at such a premium, space saving solutions such as wall mounted refrigerators and low level refrigerated drawers ensured adequate cold storage. This theme continued into the cookline with a 2 in 1 Mini Combi Oven complimented by a bespoke stainless steel cook centre made up of energy saving induction hobs, induction griddle and the ever essential salamander grill.
Our work here was not only limited to the kitchen. The smallest of bars lie just outside of the kitchen where the space saving theme continued with the installation of custom-made bar fridges, floor and wall mounted.
Dentons worked closely with the designers and different contractors throughout this project, aided by our own experienced sales and project managers and our highly skilled installation engineers which meant the project was completed on time, on budget and to our own high standards.
Marianne has worked internationally as a private chef for A-list celebrities, actors, musicians and politicians, work which took her all over the world from The Hamptons to the Côte d’Azur and Australia. Her former clients include the Bamford family, the Sainsbury family and the Soros family. In 2009 Marianne Lumb made it to the final three of the BBC’s BAFTA Award-winning cookery show MasterChef: The Professionals.
We wish her the very best of luck in her new venture.
